COVID-19 UPDATE TO OUR CANCELATION POLICY - VALID UNTIL THE END OF 2022
Due to the COVID-19 situation we have temporarily changed our cancellation policies. We changed our cancellation fees as following:
a) 30 days or more before tour start date: non-refundable fee of 150 EUR per person
b) 15 – 29 days before tour start date: 300 EUR per person
c) 0 – 14 days before tour start date: 100% of tour cost
IMPORTANT: If the travel to Slovenia from your country of residency on your intended travel date is not possible due to government issued restrictions such as closed borders or movement limitations we will issue you a FULL REFUND.
Note: for all cancellations made no later than 14 days before tour start date, we will issue you a travel credit in the value of cancellation cost. Such travel credit can be used for any tour with Do Slovenia within 1 year of issue.
Your agreement is with Mister Matik d.o.o., owner of Do Slovenia, company registered in Slovenia (Company register number: 8362025000), and fully licensed as Tour Agency (license number 2147) and Tour Operator (license number 2146) by Tourism and Hospitality Chamber of Slovenia (TGZS). A contract will come into existence between us when you make a confirmed booking with us. Enrolment in and payment for a trip shall constitute acceptance by the guest of the terms and conditions. All contracts with Do Slovenia are made subject to the terms of these booking conditions and are governed by Slovene law and the jurisdiction of the Slovene Courts. We reserve the right to change these booking conditions at any time prior to you making a booking.
1. PAYMENTS AND RESERVATIONS
Securing your booking
To secure a booking you must first send us a written booking request (email us at info@doslovenia.com, using contact form on our website: https://www.doslovenia.com/contact-us or using booking form on our website: https://www.doslovenia.com/book), and upon receiving pro forma invoice pay us a non-refundable reservation fee of 300 EUR per person or make full payment if the booking is made within 30 days of the start of your tour. You will receive pro forma invoice with payment details. Upon receiving booking request, followed by deposit of reservation fee, you will receive a written confirmation of your booking. Only then is your booking confirmed. We reserve the right to cancel your confirmed booking within 48 hours of confirmation in case of availability issues. Please inspect your invoice and booking confirmation as soon as you receive it.The remaining balance is due 30 days before the start of the tour. If all payments are not received in full and on time, we reserve the right to consider your holiday as cancelled by you. Cancellation charges as shown in this Terms and Conditions apply.All payments are to be made directly to Mister Matik d.o.o., Adamičeva cesta 14, 1290 Grosuplje, Slovenia, owner of Do Slovenia. We accept bank transfers and card payments (via Paypal).
Booking Requests:
When you submit your booking request, your booking is only provisional and is not confirmed. Your booking is accepted only from the time when we send you a confirmation e-mail to confirm that your booking request has been confirmed. It is at this point that a contract between you and us comes into existence.
Prices:
Before your booking is confirmed and a contract comes into force, we reserve the right to increase or decrease tour prices. All prices are in EUROS.We reserve the right to amend all advertised prices on our website. We also reserve the right to correct errors in pending bookings and any obvious errors or mistakes in prices of pending bookings and confirmed bookings.
2. CANCELLATIONS
If you or any other member of your party decides to cancel your confirmed booking you must notify us in writing. Your notice of cancellation will only take effect when it is received in writing by us at our offices and will be effective from the date on which we receive it.
Cancellation fees that apply are:
a) 90 days or more before tour start date: non-refundable fee of 300 EUR per person
b) 45 – 89 days before tour start date: 30% of tour cost
c) 31 – 44 days before tour start date: 50% of tour cost
d) 0 – 30 days before tour start date: 100% of tour cost
Note: for all cancellations made no later than 45 days before tour start date, we will issue you a travel credit in the value of cancellation cost. Such travel credit can be used for any tour with Do Slovenia within 1 year of issue. We strongly encourage all travelers to purchase travel cancellation insurance.
3. CHANGES TO A CONFIRMED TOUR
We reserve the right to make necessary changes to your trip. This may be due to circumstances that are out of our control, such as weather conditions, road conditions, state of accommodation and force majeure. We promise to keep tour and its itinerary as intact as possible. In a very rare occasion we may have to make a significant change to your confirmed tour.
Significant change is:
a) a change of accommodation (area or standard) for the whole or a significant part of your tour,
b) change to your itinerary: missing out one or more destinations in its entirety.
If significant changes or cancellations on our side are necessary, we will let you know as soon as possible and will offer you a choice of accepting the changed tour or a full refund. You will be notified by e-mail and telephone (if number provided). You will have then 7 days to confirm your choice. If we do not hear from you, we will assume that you have chosen a changed tour. We will not cancel your confirmed tour less than 30 days before your departure date, except for reasons of force majeure or failure by you to pay the final balance.
4. ENTRY INTO SLOVENIA - VISA REQUIREMENTS
It is your responsibility to check and fulfill the passport, visa, health and immigration requirements for entry into Slovenia and European Union. We cannot and do not accept any responsibility if you cannot enter into and travel in Slovenia because you have not complied with immigration requirements.
5. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
You will receive all necessary travel documents at least 10 days before tour start date (unless otherwise agreed upon). Documents will include reservation confirmations for hotels, tours, experiences, transportation (if part of the package), detailed personalized guidebook and recommendations.
6. YOUR HEALTH AND DIET
You must tell us of any medical condition or disability which may affect your participation in your tour or the tour arrangements at the time of booking or if/when there is any change in your condition. You must confirm that you are physically and mentally capable of undertaking all aspects of the trip, and unaware of any reason why you may be unsuited to taking part or may be likely to suffer illness or injury during the trip, taking into account its challenges and purposes. If you are unable to give such confirmation for any reason or have any medical condition or disability which may affect your trip, you must contact us before you send us booking request so that we can assist you in considering the suitability of the trip for you and tailor it to your needs.We are aware of different dietary requirements, preferences and allergies. We make every effort to ensure that our suppliers are notified, but cannot guarantee that all requests will be accommodated.
7. EARLY RETURN OR ABSENCE
Early return expenses are the guest’s responsibility. There is no refund for early departure or absence from a trip, including but not limited to missed hotels, transfers, meals or tours. We strongly suggest you purchase travel insurance which covers such circumstances.
8. FORCE MAJEURE - EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL
Any instances of Force Majeure will lead to the suspension of the obligations in these Terms and Conditions that are affected by the Force Majeure and the party affected by the Force Majeure event shall not be liable as a result of the inability to meet such obligations. "Force Majeure" means any act or event beyond our reasonable control such as act(s) of wars, terrorist attacks, riots, war, strikes, lock-outs, trade disputes, fires, floods, earthquakes or other natural disasters, adverse weather, interruption of transport, Government action or failure of public or private telecommunications or transport networks. If such an event takes place and it affects the performance of our obligations to you: (i) we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to notify you; and (ii) our obligations to you will be suspended for the duration of the event. If you have any concerns about a booking, please contact us.
9. RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH TRAVEL
Our first priority is your safety. Please read and gain an understanding of risks involved in travel and adventurous activities. There is always potential danger with hiking, trekking, adventure travel, cycling, boat trips, and transportation. Physical exertion can cause loss or damage to gear, injury, sickness, or death. During the activities you should wear appropriate equipment and clothing depending on to the conditions. You should always carry enough water to last for the duration of the activity, and you should protect yourself from the sun or low/high temperatures. We and our partners will advise you on safety best to our abilities but You are ultimately responsible for your own safety. Access to hospitals and medical care may not be immediately available in mountainous areas.For your own safety, you should not participate in the physically active parts of the tour or trip if you have any sort of medical condition that could require immediate treatment by medical professionals, such as heart disease, allergies to bee stings. You must tell us of any medical condition or disability which may affect your participation in your tour or the tour arrangements at the time of booking or if/when there is any change in your condition. You must confirm that you are physically and mentally capable of undertaking all aspects of the tour / trip.
10. DISCPLAIMER OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Mister Matik d.o.o. or its agents or affiliated entities (“released parties”) shall be liable for the loss or damage to baggage or property, or for injury, illness or death arising from loss, negligence or delay from the act, error, omission default or negligence of any person not its direct employee or under its exclusive control. The released parties are not responsible for any criminal or other conduct by third parties.We are not liable for bodily injury or property damage as a result of but not limited to: hazards of travel by car, bicycle, boat, train, bus and other means, road conditions and road surfaces affected by weather conditions; horseback riding and any other form of active or adventure travel; animals, forces of nature, unrest, differing safety standards, risks associated with water, drinks, alcohol consumption, food, plants, insects and animals, diseases and transmission of disease to you or members of your family or party, accident or illness in areas of difficult evacuation or poor medical facilities, acts of governments; all occurring during the trip or while coming to or returning from the trip.
You are participating voluntarily, knowing there are risks. You agree to accept any and all risks. This release and discharge of liability, assumption of risk and agreement not to make a claim is entered into on behalf of you and all members of your family and party, also including minors. This agreement also binds your heirs, legal representatives and assigns.
11. BAGGAGE AND PERSONAL BELONGINGS
We are not responsible for loss of passports, or other documents, or loss of or damage to luggage, or other personal belongings. All baggage and personal belongings are at all times and in all circumstances at the risk of the trip participant. We suggest you obtain baggage insurance.
12. MARKETING
We ask our clients to take pictures during their holidays and send them to us. We will use so acquired pictures for marketing and promotion purposes on our website and social media profiles. By sending us your photos and videos you grant the use of this material for promotional purposes worldwide and do not expect any payment in return. We will remove photos from our website and social media profiles if you make a written request.
13. COMPLAINTS AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
All complaints must be made immediately to your remote guide and to the supplier of service in question. All complaints must be issued in writing as well (if at first delivered verbally). You must include as much details about the complaint as possible. Usually complaints are resolved very quickly, but if one goes unresolved even after the trip it will be resolved by the courts of the Republic Slovenia under Slovenian law. Because Mister Matik d.o.o. offers services on the territory of Republic Slovenia, EU, clients can use web platform "Online Dispute Resolution" to come to a solution of a dispute without going to court. 14. INSOLVENCY PROTECTION
In an unlikely event of insolvency of Mister Matik d.o.o., your payment is protected by insolvency protection with Zavarovalnica Triglav, d.d. Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia. To make a claim call: 080 2864 when in Slovenia, or +386 2 222 2864 when abroad. Please ensure you retain the booking confirmation form as evidence of cover and value.
15. DATA PROTECTION
We need to use your personal information to process tour reservations and bookings. Personal information include each traveler’s name, address, phone number, email address and sensitive information such as health, medical, dietary, mobility, religious or other special requirements. This personal information may be shared with other suppliers of your travel arrangements and may also be shared with public authorities, and otherwise as required by law. We will process your personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) .
